Yes, I know I promised no gear review, but I can’t help myself. I’m just too excited. Girls, this one is for you!
The list of things I hate about cycling shorts is pretty long: they’re ugly; they’re uncomfortable; they make my bum look big; they’re always high-waisted (why, oh why???); they’re unnecessarily long, can’t a girl get some sun on her legs?
Granted, I’ve never spent a lot of money on them, so maybe the top brands are better, but I’ve got to say I’ve never seen any girl look any happier in hers than I do in mine.
But, my woes are over; I have finally unearthed the perfect pair of cycling shorts – Stella McCartney to the rescue! Trust a designer to do what the sports brands don’t and deliver something that both looks half-decent and feels perfect. Lower waist, shorter length, structured and plentiful padding, which nevertheless reduces big-bum-syndrome. Check, check and check again. It’s even got pretty detailing down the side.
I don’t know if I look any better, but I certainly feel it.
