Picnic practicality: none whatsoever
4 slices of dark bread (granary, or similar)
4 burgers (buy ‘karbonade’ if you happen to be in Norway)
Optional – 4 fried eggs
Fry burgers and put one on each slice of bread. Top with a generous helping of mashed peas (and/or fried eggs if using) and scatter with crispy onions.
Serve with potato salad and some cucumber and tomatoes. Enjoy!
